September 13 is World Sepsis Day, an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against sepsis, a disease which causes a death every 3.5 seconds, killing 8 million people every year. Visit the Sepsis Awareness booth at UBC Robson Square (800-block of Robson Street) to learn about sepsis from health care professionals, researchers and survivors. There will be patient partners who survived sepsis sharing their stories and lots of informational materials to help spread the word about the disease.
