Have your say on quality of care in BC!

The BC Patient Safety & Quality Council, which administers PVN, is renewing its strategic plan and wants to know how you think quality of care can be improved in our province.

There are two ways to participate and ensure that the Council’s strategic direction continues to reflect what’s important to British Columbians:

  1. Complete the Council’s Strategic Plan Survey
  2. Join a ThoughtExchange

What is the BC Patient Safety & Quality Council?

Using evidence-informed strategies, the Council advances person- and family-centred care, shifts culture and improves clinical practice to support high-quality care for every person in our province. The Council receives its mandate from the Minister of Health, and patient and public engagement is one of its five key roles and responsibilities.

I was thrilled to discover the Patient Voices Network, where the array of places to be the voice of a patient is vast and incredibly interesting. Besides my ongoing “gig” with the BC Emergency Medicine Network, I have enjoyed being involved in several one-off initiatives. I love working with professionals who genuinely value the perspectives of their patient partners.
