PVN Spotlight: What Matters to You (WMTY) Now 2020

Categories: Patient Voice Mail

What Matters to You Day (WMTY) is June 9, 2020. This year, we are committed to providing a platform for sharing your stories of empathy, kindness, innovation and creativity across BC. Read on to find out more about #WMTYBC.

What Matters to You Day takes place on June 9. As we adjust to the new normal, we continue to recognize that communication is the key to understanding that everyone is doing the best they can, and that compassion will help us navigate these challenging times.

In our work to create partnerships between health care and patient partners, we have seen a dedication to adapting how we work together in our shared commitment to building a strong, vibrant health care system in BC.

For WMTY 2020, we are focusing on learning from each other. Whether you’re a patient or health care partner, we would love to hear your stories of how ‘what matters to you now’ has been shown during this time. We will be sharing details shortly on how you can share your story with us by using the hashtag #WMTYBC.

We understand this may not be the best time for individuals and organizations to participate in WMTY. WMTY resources continue to be available on our website and are accessible year-round to offer inspiration and support for planning WMTY activities when you are ready.

Thank you for your continued support for improving health care in BC. We encourage you to ask questions, reach out for support and share your ideas!

It’s really hard to make changes in health care. When a PVN patient partner says, ‘This is important to us’ it keeps us grounded on why a change is needed and keeps us motivated to keep going on projects.
