Background

This is an optimization exercise for a new software system in Home Support. We have identified an opportunity to learn from the North Okanagan sites already live with the software and intend to learn and standardize our system as much as possible using Lean methodology prior to spreading to the rest of IH in 2020. Approximately 12 participants are expected (not including PVN reps). The primary risk may be excess technical jargon and acronyms; we will do our utmost to explain these and will ask the PVN rep kindly speak up if we do not. There are no Terms of Reference, although an agenda will provided and I would be happy to personally connect with participant(s) prior to the session. Here is a video providing a very broad overview of the Procura software: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0G9rhA-EN5w

It’s really hard to make changes in health care. When a PVN patient partner says, ‘This is important to us’ it keeps us grounded on why a change is needed and keeps us motivated to keep going on projects.
