The Clinical Workforce Optimization and Design team at Providence Health Care is working on developing a new model of care for the inpatient cardiac units at the new St Paul’s Hospital. We are aiming to engage patient partners early in the process so we can have their input in the design of a report, that will provide recommendations to be implemented by Operations. This partnership will involve a series of online meetings (likely 2 or 3), reviewing drafts and providing feedback.

I have learned so much about innovation and capacity building by being part of PVN. I signed up to build my leadership skills, however, I experience benefits for myself, my community and Indigenous peoples throughout the province. I understand more about the complexities and opportunities required to improve health care.
