This project aims to increase access to the MRI scanner at EKRH. In doing this we must be very thoughtful not to compromise patient care while maintaining appropriate workload balance for the staff and radiologists. We must consider various factors such as current access, wait-times, reporting turn around times, environmentally sustainable practice and appropriate use. We aim to be responsible stewards of a valuable and limited resource so that benefits versus risks are minimized.

Patient and family partners should not be a check box on research proposals! They need to be involved right from the start. I know patient and family partners are doing their part by providing their knowledge to researchers from their lived experience.  It’s a win-win for us to work together through PVN to make sure our input drives improvements.
