“Our paths to recovery are as unique as our fingerprints.” – Chris Lamoureux

Recovery from mental health and substance use is an ongoing and non-linear journey. Each person’s path towards recovery looks different and is defined by that individual. Join us at our upcoming Demystifying Concurrent Disorders Webinar Series to “Demystifying Recovery” on October 18th from 2:00-3:30PM PST as we unpack the complex topic of recovery.

Our host, Victoria Maxwell, will be leading this upcoming webinar session, along with our three subject matter experts coming from diverse backgrounds and experiences:
• Dr. Heather Fulton, Registered Psychologist
• Rick Johal, Senior Lead of Provincial Education, BC Mental Health and Substance Use Services
• Chris Lamoureux, Leader of Patient Experience and Community Engagement, BC Mental Health and Substance Use Services

About the Concurrent Disorders Webinar Series: This is a quarterly event designed for patients and families, by patients and families. It is a welcoming space for all patients and families interested in learning about topics related to complex and concurrent mental health and substance use disorders.

About BC Mental Health and Substance Use Services: We provide highly-specialized care to people with severe mental health and substance use (MHSU) disorders, people in custody, and people referred by court for mental health assessment or treatment across British Columbia.

It’s really hard to make changes in health care. When a PVN patient partner says, ‘This is important to us’ it keeps us grounded on why a change is needed and keeps us motivated to keep going on projects.
