The BC Patient Safety & Quality Council is sponsoring 5 patient partners to virtually attend the Beryl Institute’s Patient Experience Conference, which is being held on March 28-30, 2022. If you are interested in learning new skills and strategies, discussing opportunities and challenges and networking with others who are interested in elevating the human experience in health care, we encourage you to RSVP to this opportunity!

Aim
ELEVATE PX in 2022 is scheduled to be a combined virtual and in person gathering bringing together the voices of the global community committed to elevating the human experience in health care. Attendee’s will experience educational sessions and networking activities and learn from leading thinkers who are tackling the issue of patient experience within health care.

Following the event, patient partners will be asked to share their learnings from the conference with the wider PVN membership. This could include a blog post, testimonial or other form of sharing.

Level of Engagement
This opportunity is at the level of inform on the spectrum of engagement. The promise to you is that you will be provided with balanced and objective information to assist in understanding alternatives and solutions.

Eligibility
Open to patient partners from across the province who:
• Are comfortable attending a virtual conference and able to attend scheduled sessions from March 28-30, 2022.
• Have not been selected to participate in a PVN/Council supported opportunity in the last 12 months e.g. workshop, conference attendance etc.

If you have a strong interest in this work but have not yet completed a PVN orientation and Patient Partner Commitments, are unsure if your experience is a good fit or feel another format of engagement would work better with your availability, please contact Cassy Mitchell.

Logistics
• Number of vacancies: 5
• Date/Time/Location: Virtual attendance from March 28-30, 2022 (3 days) and then time after the conference to share learnings (1-2hrs)
• Commitment: One-time

Reimbursement
No out of pocket expenses are anticipated for this engagement opportunity. We are always seeking to better understand and reduce barriers to participation.
