Help us better understand the experiences and health care needs of older adults using home tube feeding.

Goals of Patient Advisory Group:
• help develop an interview guide to explore the healthcare experiences of older adults using home tube feeding
• provide feedback on the development of a survey to understand the healthcare needs of older adults using home tube feeding
• provide your perspective on the key issues that a care pathway for older adults using HTF needs to address

Eligibility:
• Open to patient partners from the province of BC
• Specific healthcare experiences: using home tube feeds or caring for someone who uses home tube feeds
• Comfortable using technology to attend online/virtual meeting
Expectations:
• Attend at least one virtual group meeting to help develop the interview guide
• Attend at least one virtual group meeting to provide feedback on a survey
• Review the survey and provide feedback over email
• Attend one virtual group meeting to review findings and provide your thoughts and opinions (optional)
Logistics:
• Number of vacancies: 4
• Commitment: 6 months

This opportunity is at the level of Involve on the IAP2 Spectrum of Public Participation.

Eligibility

  • Willing & comfortable to share health care experiences in a group setting
  • Specific health care experiences [details below]
  • Comfortable using technology to attend online/virtual meetings
  • An adult who uses home tube feeds or caring for an adult who uses home tube feeds
Patient Partners ARE NOT required to be PVN members to participate in this engagement opportunity.
