Then, eight engaging and passionate speakers will answer our question: What are your hopes for health care?
The Quality Forum is an annual conference hosted by the BC Patient Safety & Quality Council that unites British Columbia’s health care community. It features presentations and interactive workshops on a variety of topics related to improving quality across the continuum of care. The Forum is a great opportunity to learn new skills and strategies, discuss opportunities and challenges, and network with others interested in improving health care in British Columbia.

For three decades, UBC's Centre for Health Services and Policy Research (CHSPR)’s annual conference has provided a platform for thought-provoking dialogues on emerging research in the health services and policy domain. In 2018, the conference will address the question of how British Columbia can become a learning health care system. In a learning health care system, every patient interaction is treated as a learning activity, and the ethos of the system overall is improvement.
Women are susceptible to depression at various stages throughout life, from the teenage years, the postpartum period, and the perimenopausal transition, while in the older years women may experience a number of physical changes that influence brain health. It is important to know the signs of depression, and to know what are the effective treatments available and where to get help. Experts will address each of these topics in this free public forum held on International Women's Day.
