Background

The project to refresh the vision, mission, and values came as a decision from Interior Health (IH) senior executive and the board of directors. The vision, mission, and values are foundational elements of organizational culture – and reviewing and confirming these statements is a key component of IH’s longer-term commitment to delivering quality care and to strengthening relationships. The workshop will include a mix of IH staff, physicians, and key health care partners (reps from foundations, auxiliaries, First Nations, regional districts, post-secondary institutions, etc.) A formal invite from the CEO will go out to all attendees. There is no particular care setting; this work is an IH-wide initiative.

It has been so rewarding to go from an idea to working with such a great group of dedicated people from so many different organizations towards a very fun and rewarding project. Several extremely engaged PVN members expressed interest in being part of piloting a patient virtual care peer support system. I am confident that this is the beginning of many more exciting collaborations!
