The subcommittee of the Providence Health Care (PHC) board reviews all quality, risk and patient experience parameters of our care. It oversees acute, outpatient and long term care services to ensure high quality care and minimizing risk and harm to patients and residents.

We are looking for a patient partner to be an active member of the committee participating in reading materials related to PHC activities, and advising and collaborating on setting priorities and direction for the committee.

Meetings (in-person at St Paul’s Hospital or zoom as an option) 5 times per year on Wednesday afternoons from 330-530pm, approx. 2-3h of pre reading per meeting.

Level of Engagement

This opportunity is at the level of Collaborate on the IAP2 Spectrum of Public Participation.

Eligibility

  • Previous committee/working group experience
  • - Significant experience with healthcare system as a patient/client or caregiver - experience at PHC is an asset. - Some prior knowledge of the complexity of health care would be an asset
Patient Partners ARE NOT required to be PVN members to participate in this engagement opportunity.
