As part of the plan of moving to the New St Paul’s Hospital, the Clinical Workforce Optimization and Design team at PHC is analyzing the Mental Health Model of Care to assess current sate and impact of the new hospital on the care that we deliver. This analysis will result on recommendations for the Operations team to consider when preparing the readiness to move. We need the patient’s and patient family’s perspective in the different stages of our analysis: When assessing current state and reviewing the evidence, when assessing the impact of the future design and finally when designing our recommendations.

It has been so rewarding to go from an idea to working with such a great group of dedicated people from so many different organizations towards a very fun and rewarding project. Several extremely engaged PVN members expressed interest in being part of piloting a patient virtual care peer support system. I am confident that this is the beginning of many more exciting collaborations!
