Telling the story of a loved one’s journey with dementia through residential care provides an opportunity to impact those in the community who provide care. The Abbotsford Division of Family Practice wants to partner with a patient volunteer who can provide the human perspective to the often difficult journey of dementia and inspire health care workers to provide better care to their patients.

- Special consideration is given to those that have lived experience with a family or caregiver member that has dementia.

- Time: 8:45am – 9:30am (patient volunteers are welcome to stay for the whole conference until 2:30pm)

- 1 Teleconference preparation meeting (To be set)
- Conference Day (Feb 4th)
Reimbursement
Pre-approved expenses related to travel to in person meetings will be reimbursed according to the Fraser Health Travel policy (including mileage, parking, tolls and/or public transit).Background
