Researchers at UBC would like to better understand the long-term costs of c-sections and vaginal deliveries to the health care system. We would like to learn from our patient partners about their experiences giving birth, their post-partum period, and if/how mode of delivery has affected subsequent pregnancies or any aspect of their physical and mental wellbeing.

Details
Our patient partners are advisors on the project, and help us refine our research question and analysis. Please note that we are currently recruiting partners from the health authorities listed below: Interior and Northern.

Eligibility
Age: 19 Years – 45 Years Old
Accepting Healthy Volunteers: No

PVN has really helped us engage with patient partners to improve health services at Northern Health.  It is more and more becoming the norm to include patients in the design, delivery and evaluation of health services.  PVN education and supports, involving patient partners, have enabled us to develop the capacity to include the patient voice to make care better and achieve better health outcomes.
