Creating a Partnership for Obstetrical Health Services Research in BC

Open to Patient partners from Lower Mainland, online

Opportunity Purpose
Researchers at UBC & BC Women’s Hospital are planning to create a partnership between obstetric clinical providers, researchers, policymakers, and patient/public participants to set research priorities for obstetric health services research in BC. This partnership is intended to bridge the gap between clinicians, researchers and the public.

The member of the public will meet with the project team to discuss the proposal and potential public engagement. Based on these discussions, they will potentially become a member of the proposed Partnership, and may join the Partnership meetings (two in total) in April 2022.

The Patient Voices Network has connected me to a community with the same drive to bring person- and family-centred care to the forefront. I am grateful for all opportunities I have been a part of thanks to PVN, which positively impacts patients like my sister and their caregivers. No matter how small, all patient engagement will help shape the future of health care and that I can stand behind
