This is a vigil to remember those who’ve died from drug overdose deaths
and pay respect to their surviving family, friends, partners, coworkers, etc.

The rally will be a peaceful presentation of tables set up with participants
from various active addiction social/medical services, as well as a variety
of social and support resources, including advocacy and support groups
from around the Lower Mainland.

Guest speakers will be from various addiction health and social services.

The goal is to share up-to-date resources and facts on drug policy changes,
overdose prevention information, support and social services available for
all walks of life affected by addiction and mental health issues in their lives.

The bottom line is because we’re caring for patients. People who know best are those who are receiving the care so it makes logical sense that we would consult with them about their experiences. By connecting with PVN we have been able to educate our teams about the value of patient partners and how important their perspective is in our services.
