Free

Cassie & Friends‘ ninth annual Family Day conference is a fun and informative event for families living with Juvenile Arthritis and other rheumatic conditions. It provides a wonderful opportunity for families from around the province to connect and create relationships, and The Arthritis Society is happy to provide travel bursaries to help families from outside the Lower Mainland attend.

This event is FREE for all families, and includes breakfast, lunch, snacks and all kids’ activities.

At the conference, people will be able to learn more about the latest treatments and research, and gain new strategies to cope with daily activities like school and sports.  Social issues like anxiety and depression will also be addressed.

It will be an adventure-filled day with supervised recreational programming for kids of all ages, and siblings are encouraged to join in the fun and to share how JIA has affected their lives too. Register soon, as this popular event fills up early! Click here to find out more or register.

Seeking the patient perspective doesn’t have to be complicated; it simply entails a commitment to ask and listen. Patient advisors not only bring a valuable perspective but also share original ideas and unique skills. Including the patient and family perspective changes the conversation and aligns the team’s focus towards common goals.
