The Quality Forum is an annual conference hosted by the BC Patient Safety & Quality Council. It’s a great opportunity to learn new skills and strategies, discuss opportunities and challenges, and network with others interested in improving health care in British Columbia.

Quality Forum 2018’s main two days of programming will take place on February 22 & 23, 2017.

The Forum will feature presentations and interactive workshops on a variety of topics related to improving quality across the continuum of care.

Participants will again be able to go on field trips, so that they can learn lessons from other industries that are applicable to health care. Plenary presentations, a debate and a storyboard reception will bring participants together to learn, to be entertained, and to be inspired. There are sure to be a few surprises, too!

On Wednesday, February 21, participants will also be able to attend pre-Forum sessions as well as Health Talks, an evening event where eight speakers share their hopes for health care.

Patient and family partners should not be a check box on research proposals! They need to be involved right from the start. I know patient and family partners are doing their part by providing their knowledge to researchers from their lived experience.  It’s a win-win for us to work together through PVN to make sure our input drives improvements.
