Are you living with dementia or caring for someone who is? Do you have ideas about how health research can help improve dementia diagnosis and care?
If so, we want to hear from you!
Join the BC SUPPORT Unit’s Vancouver Island Centre for an interactive afternoon of idea sharing! We’ll discuss how to integrate research into the continuum of dementia diagnosis and care, including ways to involve you, as important community members, in future research opportunities. Guests will in include Maria Howard, Chief Executive Officer, Alzheimer Society of BC and Isobel Mackenzie, BC Seniors Advocate.
Through generous support from the Neil and Susan Manning Cognitive Health Initiative, researchers and doctors will work to improve the diagnosis and treatment of dementia on Vancouver Island through the development of a ‘learning health care system’ and digital tools. The Vancouver Island Centre is working closely with partners, including UVic’s Institute on Aging and Lifelong Health to organize this event.
