How do you go from evidence to action in patient-oriented research?

Knowledge translation plays an important role in maximizing the impact of health research. Studies have shown only 14% of health research findings enter day-to-day practice, with a gap of 17 to 20 years between discovery and implementation.

Join the first in a series of four workshops to support your understanding and use of knowledge translation skills for improving the use of your health research. You’ll get practical tips, resources and examples from guest speaker Alison Hoens.

The theme of the first workshop will be “Developing a KT strategy: How do you go from evidence to action in patient-oriented research?

If you’re not able to attend the workshop in person, you can join in at one of the other videoconference locations:

  • Richmond Hospital – Room 1908
  • Lions Gate Hospital – Room 2506

I have learned so much about innovation and capacity building by being part of PVN. I signed up to build my leadership skills, however, I experience benefits for myself, my community and Indigenous peoples throughout the province. I understand more about the complexities and opportunities required to improve health care.
