Aging in Place in Rural and Remote Regions (APR3) is a study by researchers from TRU, UNBC and UBC-O. The study aims to compare how three seniors health and wellness centres in Kamloops, Kelowna and Salmon Arm are meeting their goals and addressing the needs and priorities of rural older adults and helping them age in place (stay in their own homes).
We are inviting older adults 65+ to participate in a research study on how well the SHWCs help older adults age in place (stay in their own homes). Participants will take part in a structured interview over telephone or computer, scheduled at their convenience. We hope to recruit a diverse group representing the varied backgrounds and social determinants of health experienced by older adults living in both urban and rural areas.
What’s Involved:
We are asking participants to join us for a phone or virtual (computer) interview totalling no more than 1 hour. $25 honorarium in the form of a gift card provided.
