If you or a loved one has ever had sepsis, you know that a diagnosis may only be the first step of a difficult health care journey. Nearly all seriously ill COVID-19 patients became septic as well. On World Sepsis Day, September 13, the BC Sepsis Network is hosting two free events about the post-sepsis patient pathway and the latest evidence for in-hospital sepsis care:

Webinar 1: Bridging Gaps in Post-Sepsis Care for Survivors

  • At this online panel discussion with patient partners and clinicians, learn about the experiences from sepsis and COVID-19 survivors in post-sepsis care and the challenges faced in transitioning patients from the hospital.
  • September 13 | 1000-1100 PT

Patient and family partners should not be a check box on research proposals! They need to be involved right from the start. I know patient and family partners are doing their part by providing their knowledge to researchers from their lived experience.  It’s a win-win for us to work together through PVN to make sure our input drives improvements.
