Opportunity Purpose
Members of the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine (ACRM) is seeking to publish an Information/Education Paper (IEP) that seeks to promote an active lifestyle among older adults with intellectual disability (ID). Lived experiences with ID is greatly appreciated to make this IEP more relevant. Patient/care partners are welcome to provide inputs as co-authors.

What’s Involved
A two-page draft is being prepared, which addresses the role of health professionals, care partners, and individuals with intellectual disability to create an “active lifestyle plan.” Patient partners are invited to review and edit Word document, which contains some step-by-step guidance and a simple fact sheet, through email exchanges followed by an optional Zoom call. Other methods of providing inputs are also welcome.
