The Health Standards Organization (HSO) was formed in Feb 2017, with a goal to unleash the power and potential of people around the world who share a passion for achieving quality health services for all. If you are looking for an opportunity to partner with us, HSO is in the process of putting together a working group to oversee the co-design, development and revision of standards for Quality for Cannabis Use in Health and Social Services standard.

In anticipation for the next stage of this project, we will be recruiting members for the working group responsible for developing the standard’s technical content. This working group will be overseen by the Medication Management technical committee.

I am reaching out to find partners aged 18-years and over with lived expertise to join this working group. Please pass this along to anyone you think might be interested in participating and do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions, concerns, comments or want someone to talk to. We know it can be very difficult right now. We hope your community of patient partners is connecting you with others around the world who are sharing their realities and expressing themselves. You’re not alone. We are in this together.

Where those of us in the room may have debated policy or wording, patient voices made sure patients were top of mind. And as a result, significant improvements were made to simplify something that was otherwise complex. Patient voices at the table bring us back to reality in terms of what we are trying to achieve.
