Providence Health Care is looking for partners to help create awareness materials for patients and their families regarding our upcoming go-live of our electronic health system, CST Cerner. The Clinical & Systems Transformation project supports Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH), the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) and Providence Health Care (PHC) in establishing common clinical and process standards, including workflows, order sets, clinical guidelines, integrated plans of care and a common electronic health record. This clinical transformation is being supported by the implementation of a new, shared clinical information system that will replace existing aging systems.

Together, we’re building a future where we’ll have the tools, information and processes we need to do our jobs better. For our patients, they’ll experience a more connected healthcare system and receive better, safer and more consistent care.

Partners will review the materials that were created for patients for the previous go-live at Lions Gate Hospital and evaluate what needs to change or be added to Providence’s materials to ensure patients and their families have all the information to feel informed, safe and part of the team during this

Seeking the patient perspective doesn’t have to be complicated; it simply entails a commitment to ask and listen. Patient advisors not only bring a valuable perspective but also share original ideas and unique skills. Including the patient and family perspective changes the conversation and aligns the team’s focus towards common goals.
