Opportunity Purpose
Dr. Albert of the University of Victoria, Sociology, is looking for members of the public to join in discussion sessions to i) review key research findings on public perceptions of COVID-19 information and vaccinations, and ii) brainstorm public communication strategies as well as key areas for future research. Help us identify ways to ensure these findings are accessible and to identify areas for future research that matter most to the public.

In small groups of 3 to 5 people, partners will review and discuss Dr. Albert’s preliminary research findings on public opinions regarding the COVID-19 pandemic and vaccines. They will give input on clarity, ongoing relevance, and depth of the findings. They will also brainstorm with researchers on how best to communicate these findings to the public and to decide what future areas of COVID-19 research should be prioritized.

I was thrilled to discover the Patient Voices Network, where the array of places to be the voice of a patient is vast and incredibly interesting. Besides my ongoing “gig” with the BC Emergency Medicine Network, I have enjoyed being involved in several one-off initiatives. I love working with professionals who genuinely value the perspectives of their patient partners.
