Pediatric Pain Prediction Project Advisory Group

Open to Provincial Region, Patient partners across the province

Our team is looking for parents/caregivers of a child who had previously undergone a medical procedure (e.g. surgery) at BC Children’s Hospital to join an Advisory Committee. We aim to develop an easy-to-use tool (e.g. smartphone app, webpage) to identify children who are at high risk of pain after their surgery. We need your guidance and feedback on our research processes, which include data collection, tool building and tool evaluation.

Patient and family partners should not be a check box on research proposals! They need to be involved right from the start. I know patient and family partners are doing their part by providing their knowledge to researchers from their lived experience.  It’s a win-win for us to work together through PVN to make sure our input drives improvements.
