Opportunity Purpose
We are currently seeking two members for our patient advisory council (PAC). We are looking to involve patients who have had personal experiences of late-preterm deliveries (34-36 weeks gestation) as birthers or co-parents to help bring personal perspective to the development of the tool. We hope the PAC will help us to refine our research tools and language to meet the needs of the patient-provider decision making dynamic.

Details
The Patient Advisory Council will be involved in 3-4 (2h) meetings and 6h of interviewer training to help the team ensure the tools are relevant and clearly understandable. The PAC will also work to train the interviewers to be sensitive to navigating survey questions with a diversity of patients who have had late preterm deliveries.

Eligibility
Age: 18 Years – 50 Years Old

The question I like to ask health care employees is ‘Who is this for?’ and ‘Do we have the right people at the table?’ As a health care employee, I see how easy it is to fall into doing for, rather than doing with patients. The voices of the patient, family and caregiver are essential to ensure the patient is central to the direction and focus of the work being done.
