Opportunity Purpose
We are exploring the connection between antibiotic use in babies and the risk of developing asthma and allergies as these babies grow up into children. We are engaging a committee of medical and research experts to help shape the messaging from our study’s findings and we need parents who can share their pregnancy and postpartum experiences (information seeking, experience with the healthcare system, their child’s feeding journey etc.).

Details
Parents will be asked to help us appropriately design and deliver the key messages of the study to future parents so that communication is informative, accessible, respectful, and reaches parents equitably and effectively. The value of parental insight in this project cannot be overstated.

Eligibility
Age: 0 Months – 2 Years Old

The question I like to ask health care employees is ‘Who is this for?’ and ‘Do we have the right people at the table?’ As a health care employee, I see how easy it is to fall into doing for, rather than doing with patients. The voices of the patient, family and caregiver are essential to ensure the patient is central to the direction and focus of the work being done.
