Online Session: Frailty as the Centre of Older Adult Care

Study Purpose
As we age we can become more frail. Detecting and managing frailty early is important. To assess frailty, an in-person visit to the doctor’s office is typically required. Can older adults use websites to help with early detection and care of frailty? We want to hear your thoughts. Register here.

Details
You will be invited to attend two sessions. The first is a 4-hour educational symposium where world-leading Canadian doctors will talk about frailty care in healthy aging. You will learn what frailty is and its importance in older adult care. This session will take place on May 25th. Use the link above to register for the first session. Those who attend the first session and are either 65 years+ or a caretaker of any age will be invited to attend a second discussion session. An honorarium will be provided for those who attend both sessions.

Eligibility
Everyone may attend the first session. To attend the second session volunteers must be 65+ years old or a caregiver of any age, and have attended the first session. Only those who attend both sessions will receive an honorarium.

Seeking the patient perspective doesn’t have to be complicated; it simply entails a commitment to ask and listen. Patient advisors not only bring a valuable perspective but also share original ideas and unique skills. Including the patient and family perspective changes the conversation and aligns the team’s focus towards common goals.
