Background
Led by Dr. Teresa Tsang, MOSAIC is a collaborative initiative, based out of the University of British Columbia that aims to improve heart health across BC and the Yukon. The project looks at how genetics (the inherited information in our DNA) may help support earlier care, better treatment and improved health outcomes.
Teresa is a Professor of Medicine at the University of British Columbia (UBC), a practicing cardiologist and Director of the VGH-UBC Echocardiography Laboratory, the largest echo program in British Columbia and a leading nationally and internationally recognized training hub.
A strong advocate for meaningful community engagement, Teresa is committed to ensuring patient, families that support patients, equity-deserving communities and our medical professional partners and stakeholders are represented in health research data and their perspectives.
