CIHI is leading the selection of 8-10 public health system readiness indicators leading to better accountability & health outcomes for Canadians. Chosen indicators will help improve transparency of the readiness of Canada’s public health system. This system includes local public health authorities, provincial, territorial & national public health governing bodies & other related organizations at all levels. We are inviting you to share your insights around what is important to you about public health in Canada focusing on 4 key areas in one 90-minute small group virtual session mid-November to early December.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
• Canadian residents aged 18+ who have experience with and/or have a good understanding of Canada’s public health system
• Ability to communicate in English, as sessions will be conducted in English
• Access to internet, device and/or telephone required.
• No formal training or professional experience required

CIHI will offer an honorarium to those who are selected to participate.

 

Level of Engagement

This opportunity is at the level of Consult on the IAP2 Spectrum of Public Participation.

Eligibility

  • Willing & comfortable to share health care experiences in a group setting
  • Specific health care experiences [details below]
  • Have access to technology and the internet to participate in the engagement opportunity
  • Comfortable using technology to attend online/virtual meetings
  • An interest in improving health care services
