Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS) is a procedure used to diagnose lung cancer and other lung conditions. At Surrey Memorial’s Ambulatory Day Care Centre, we hope to reduce the wait times and improve patient care experiences for EBUS procedures. We hope to engage patient partners to provide their feedback and their experience with EBUS procedures. We hope to meet with the patient one or two times to gain their perspective and hear their story regarding EBUS.

We would love to learn about your experience with endobronchial ultrasound. We hope to use this information to improve our endobronchial ultrasound services at Surrey Memorial Hospital which can provide an example for broader improvement across the province. We hope to meet once or twice within a six month period to understand your perspective and experience.

It’s really hard to make changes in health care. When a PVN patient partner says, ‘This is important to us’ it keeps us grounded on why a change is needed and keeps us motivated to keep going on projects.
