Virtual Health health allows you to see, hear, and talk to members of your healthcare team from your home. You can use a smartphone, tablet, or personal computer with a web camera and microphone. You do need to be able to connect to the internet. Using virtual health, you can:
• Access healthcare providers and services
• Work with you healthcare provider from home to plan your care

The Fraser Health Virtual Health team offers a variety of programs and services as well as provides project support to develop new virtual care innovations. Examples of current virtual health services include remote patient monitoring and the Fraser Health Virtual Care phone number or web chat.

The Fraser Health Virtual Health Patient and Family Advisory Council is actively recruiting new members. Patient and Family Advisory Councils offer patient partners the opportunity to meet regularly with Fraser Health leaders to promote and advance person-centred care and improve healthcare quality, safety, and experience.

The council meets virtually (using Teams) every other month for 1 hour

The Virtual Health Patient and Family Advisory Council has been meeting since 2023. Examples of engagement opportunities the council has been a part of include:
– Communication Strategies
– Virtual Hospital
– Remote Patient Monitoring
– Website enhancements (interactive solutions to support more personalized navigation of the website)
