By joining the new Vernon Jubilee Hospital Patient-Public & Family Advisory Council (PFAC), you can share your voice and make a real difference in how care is delivered in your local community.
The PFAC brings together volunteer public partners with hospital leaders, physicians and health care team members. Together, the council discusses issues that affect patient care and the patient experience at VJH.
Council members use their personal experiences, along with publicly available data, to advise on and guide projects and improvements at VJH. Members may lead discussions, offer recommendations, and suggest changes that support better care for people in the Vernon and the surrounding areas.
We welcome public partners from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds, reflecting the communities served by VJH.
Since the Vernon Jubilee Hospital PFAC is new, you can be among its first members to co-create this experience. The goal is to have equal or greater public members, than Interior Health representatives. The council will determine meeting times, frequency and location (in person or by computer).
Public partners may be asked to review materials such as minutes or presentations before meetings and are encouraged to bring forward topics for discussion. Public partners will be supported through their engagement and do not require a background in healthcare to participate.
Your voice matters.
