Health Mentors Recruitment Now Open!

The UBC Health Mentors program is looking for volunteer Health Mentors (or caregivers) who live with a chronic illness to share their health care expertise with new health care students to help them learn about patient-centered care.

The program starts in September 2024 and runs until May 2025. Mentors should live in the Lower Mainland and be interested in working with small groups of students.

Eligibility

  • Willing & comfortable to share health care experiences in a group setting
  • Specific health care experiences [details below]
  • Previous committee/working group experience
  • An interest in improving health care services
Patient Partners ARE NOT required to be PVN members to participate in this engagement opportunity.
