The development of the Seniors Health and Wellness Centre (SHWC) at the North Hills Mall is a new Specialized Care Program specifically focused on older adults. Seniors Health has been identified by Interior Health as a strategic priority and efforts are being made to ensure that the voices of older adults are heard in the development of the centre, which includes education of the staff and trial runs of the patient pathway. PVN Patient Partners were included in the education of the SHWC for Kelowna and the staff were overwhelmingly supportive of this approach and appreciated the stories and recommendations of the Patient Partner representatives.Health Care Partner Contact Information
