Thank you for your interest in providing anonymous feedback on the drafted Preventing transmission of communicable diseases practice standard for LPNs, RNs, RPNs, and NPs. This practice standard will replace the current BCCNM Communicable Diseases: Preventing Nurse-to-Client Transmission practice standard.

Proposed updates to the standard include:
• Inclusion of RPNs
• Removal of outdated content
• Re-development of standards to align with BCCNM’s regulatory philosophy

We are seeking input from nurses, employers, members of the public, and Indigenous partners to ensure the practice standard is clear, practical, and addresses risks to the public in alignment with BCCNM’s regulatory philosophy.

This survey should take about 5 minutes to complete.

This feedback process is anonymous, however we ask that you identify which key audience(s) you represent to help us organize and analyze the information gathered effectively.

If you have questions about this survey or would like to provide additional feedback via email, please email policysurvey@bccnm.ca. Please note that if you email us, your feedback will no longer be anonymous.

Patient and family partners should not be a check box on research proposals! They need to be involved right from the start. I know patient and family partners are doing their part by providing their knowledge to researchers from their lived experience.  It’s a win-win for us to work together through PVN to make sure our input drives improvements.
