Royal Inland Hospital is currently exploring creating new content and a webpage to prepare patients for what to expect when getting surgery.

The objective of the patient engagement opportunity would be to collaborate with patients about what information would be the most valuable to receive, when the ideal time is to get information, and what the best method(s) are for receiving the required resources.

Currently the scope of the project is still under development and the amount of engagement could vary.

The question I like to ask health care employees is ‘Who is this for?’ and ‘Do we have the right people at the table?’ As a health care employee, I see how easy it is to fall into doing for, rather than doing with patients. The voices of the patient, family and caregiver are essential to ensure the patient is central to the direction and focus of the work being done.
