CIHI would like to speak with persons who have lived or living experience with accessing or providing substance use services across Canada. Your experience will inform the development of a new health indicator on wait times for substance use services in Canada. This indicator will be used to measure how long people are waiting to access publicly funded substance use services in Canada.

You will have the opportunity to participate on a working group with other patient partners. We invite you to share your experiences in accessing or providing substance use services by joining approximately five (5) 1-hour virtual meetings from September 2024 to June 2026.

The bottom line is because we’re caring for patients. People who know best are those who are receiving the care so it makes logical sense that we would consult with them about their experiences. By connecting with PVN we have been able to educate our teams about the value of patient partners and how important their perspective is in our services.
