Queen’s Park Care Centre is looking for patient partners to join the Quality Walks. This role offers a unique opportunity to partner with health care leaders and point of care staff to learn about quality improvement projects and the patient experience. Participate in regular walks around Queens Park Care Centre and speak with staff and patients about their experiences. Each walk will focus on a specific service area.
Queen’s Park Care Centre provides the community of New Westminster with general rehab, adult day programs and long term care services.
Services included in the Quality Walks include:
• Day Program for Older Adults
• Musculoskeletal Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit
• Neurological Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit
• Outpatient Rehabilitation Clinics
• Stroke Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit
We’re Looking For Patient Partners with:
• Individuals with a passion for improving healthcare quality and safety.
• Past or current experience as a patient, family member, or caregiver in a rehabilitative health care setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse groups.
• Availability to attend walks and subsequent reporting meetings.
• Opportunity to collaborate with staff and other patient partners on improvement initiatives.
