The College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC (CPSBC) is updating one of its practice standards, which outlines physicians’ and surgeons’ responsibilities for providing medical care outside of regular office hours. We’re seeking public input to ensure the standard reflects patients’ needs and expectations and to understand how patients currently receive care after hours.
A practice standard reflects the minimum standard of professional behaviour and ethical conduct on a specific topic or issue expected by the College of all physicians and surgeons in British Columbia. Your responses will help shape the final practice standard and how after-hours care is delivered in BC.
