The Care Experience Advisory Committee ensures that the voices of patients, residents and families are incorporated into the work of the Person and Family-Centred Care (PFCC) team within Professional Practice. The committee provides advice on strategic work related to advancing person and family-centred care practices across Providence Health Care.

The committee includes patient partners, the Nurse Educator for PFCC, and the Practice Consultant for Person and Family-Centred Care.

As a patient partner, you will share your perspectives, experiences and ideas to inform the PFCC team’s strategic work. The committee is responsible for:

1. Providing input and feedback on PFCC team activities in the following domains:
• Experience
• Engagement
• Education
2. Ensuring patient, resident and family voice is incorporated in to PFCC team activities.
3. Providing advice on how PFCC team can support meaningful patient, resident, and family engagement across PHC.
4. Sharing opportunities and ideas on how PFCC team can support advancement of PFCC practices.
5. Providing advice on improving promotion and awareness of PFCC team and Care Experience Advisory Committee.

No honoraria available.
Travel expenses will be reimbursed for in-person meetings, if required.

Eligibility

  • Willing & comfortable to share health care experiences in a group setting
  • Specific health care experiences [details below]
  • Have access to technology and the internet to participate in the engagement opportunity
  • Comfortable using technology to attend online/virtual meetings
  • An interest in improving health care services
  • Has lived or living experience as a patient or family member at Providence Healthcare (PHC)
Patient Partners ARE NOT required to be PVN members to participate in this engagement opportunity.
