We aim to connect with patient partners to better understand their experiences of the health care system in all settings (primary care, hospitals etc.) including any interactions with virtual care. By engaging with patients, we hope to identify areas that can be improved through virtual and digital tools to enhance the overall patient journey. We are asking for one 60-minute interview per participant with the project team to gather valuable insights from patient partners.

Virtual care definition: Any interaction between patients and/or members of their circle of care, occurring remotely.

The question I like to ask health care employees is ‘Who is this for?’ and ‘Do we have the right people at the table?’ As a health care employee, I see how easy it is to fall into doing for, rather than doing with patients. The voices of the patient, family and caregiver are essential to ensure the patient is central to the direction and focus of the work being done.
