The goal of the initiative is to have consultation about the current state of Dawson Creek & District Hospital and where we will be going as we submit our business plan to the Ministry of Health. The patient partner will be asked to sit in on a series of meetings to help us discuss what is working well, what needs improvement, and the vision for the future. Being as transparent as possible with our community partners, stakeholders and patients is important.Level of Engagement
This opportunity is at the level of consult on the spectrum of engagement. The promise to you is that the health care partner will listen to and acknowledge your ideas and concerns, and provide feedback on how your input affected the decision.Eligibility
If you have a strong interest in this work but have not yet completed a PVN orientation and volunteer agreement, are unsure if your experience is a good fit or feel another format of engagement would work better with your availability, please contact the engagement leader directly.Logistics
Vacancies: 2-3 Time, Date, Location: October 30, 930 – 1230, Dawson Creek Hospital Assembly Room. Follow up meetings will take place in early December and early January, exact dates TBD. Duration: 3+ monthsReimbursement

In June 2018, an announcement was made by the Minister of Health, Adrian Dix, stating that Dawson Creek will be moving toward a business case for the redevelopment of Dawson Creek and District Hospital.
