Health Standards Organization (HSO) is developing a new edition of the Palliative Care Services standard. This standard will provide guidance for delivering safe, equitable and high-quality palliative care to people of all ages and settings.
Key focuses include:
• Addressing roles, planning, safety, equity and people-centred care.
• Focusing on improving quality of life, reducing physical and psychological symptoms and ensuring dignity in death and dying.
• Supporting caregivers and integrating their role in care planning.
This new edition will replace the NSC CAN/HSO 13001:2020 Palliative Care Services.
TC (Technical Committee) member application
Once all applications are received, HSO will contact shortlisted candidates to discuss the opportunity to serve on these Technical Committees further. If you are not shortlisted, there will still be opportunities to provide feedback during public review.
