Researchers at the University of British Columbia want to make it easier for people living with kidney disease, heart disease, and/or diabetes to manage potassium levels in their blood. To do this, they’re bringing together health care providers and patient partners to explore challenges to managing potassium levels and how new potassium management tools can be used in real-world care settings. Their team includes researchers, physicians, pharmacists, dietitians, and people with lived experience.

They are recruiting patient partners to participate as collaborators in working groups. Commitment includes 3-4 virtual (Zoom) meetings, each approximately 1 hour, which will be scheduled from Sept 2025 to February 2026. There will also be a 1-day in-person meeting in 2026 that will convene all working group members in Vancouver, BC. Patient partners will receive an honorarium of $140 in total.
