On December 12, the Government of Canada launched its online questionnaire related to the National Conversation on Advance Requests for MAID.

This questionnaire is open to the public and will remain active until February 14. We encourage you to distribute the link below to your networks and key stakeholders.

Medical assistance in dying (MAID) is a complex and sensitive issue and people in Canada hold a broad range of perspectives, including on advance requests.

That is why we want to hear from the public.

The national conversation on advance requests for MAID includes:
• roundtables to hear from a broad range of individuals which will take place from late November 2024 to mid-February 2025 (invitation only)
• an online questionnaire that will be open to the public until February 14, 2025

Following the national conversation, Health Canada will publish a report on key findings in spring 2025.
