Limb Loss Lab
When: Thursday April 30th 12:30-4pm
Where: Vancouver Island Tech Park (#3161 – 4464 Markham Street) In-person

Dx Criteria: To facilitate the learning objectives in the session, we are ideally looking for patient partners with lower limb loss and prosthetic who are able to ambulate.

Tasks in lab: Ideally, we would be asking the patient partners to demonstrate sliding board transfers, ambulation, don/doff prosthetic. Students in the lab will be supervised by two registered physiotherapists.

Compensation: Volunteer patient partners are given a small gift card for their time.

This opportunity is at the level of Inform on the IAP2 Spectrum of Public Participation.

Eligibility

  • Willing & comfortable to share health care experiences in a group setting
  • Comfort with public speaking
  • Specific health care experiences [details below]
  • An interest in improving health care services
Patient Partners ARE NOT required to be PVN members to participate in this engagement opportunity.
